Life Skills Development

We work closely with our clients, their Support Coordinators and other professionals to develop a carefully knitted support plan in order to help them develop their life skills which includes daily activities like personal hygiene, grooming, cooking, using public transport, job hunting and social skills development.

Our staff are trained and experienced, with some also having lived experiences in caring for family friends with different disabilities. We continuously train our staff to help them work with clients with complex needs and to be able to deliver standard services.

This support focuses on practical skill-building activities delivered with guidance from trained staff to help participants build independence in everyday life.

It may include:

  • Social skills and community participation
  • Personal care, health, and wellbeing
  • Daily routines and home management
  • Money handling, budgeting, and shopping
  • Using public transport and travel training
  • Medication reminders and support
  • Accessing services and joining community groups
